Cruise Lines Add Fuel Supplement

Due to rapidly escalating fuel prices, the cruise lines have implemented a fuel supplement of $5 per person per day to be effective on all cruises departing February 1, 2008 and beyond.
This fuel supplement applies to the first and second guest in a cabin only, not to exceed $70 per person per voyage. 3rd, 4th or 5th persons sharing a stateroom will not be charged this supplement.
Until now, the cruise lines have been absorbing the significant increase in fuel costs. Unfortunately, they can no longer afford to shoulder this burden and find it necessary to follow airline and other transportation industries which already have this surcharge in effect.
